One register for every asset
The register is built from what the gateway found, not typed in from a survey that is out of date by handover.
Most registers are a snapshot of one afternoon in 2018.
Discovery produces the plant that is actually reporting. An operator names and classes it once, and from then on the register, the job history and the consumption all refer to the same record.

The register does not match the plant room
Assets come from live discovery, so what is reporting is what is listed.
Nobody knows what an asset costs to run
Consumption is attributed to the asset, metered where there is a meter and modelled where there is not.
History is spread across systems
Photos, serials, tags, jobs and readings sit on one record.
What this module does not do
Assets that report nothing still have to be added by hand. The platform says which ones those are.
